PRIVATE TUITION

Breathe, unwind, stretch, stay strong, relax. Experience the benefits of yoga to feel nurtured and supported through your pregnancy and birth.

Learn specific yoga breathing techniques beneficial in pregnancy and in labour, postures and positions to help build strength and stamina when you will need it most, and ways to unwind and release.

Private sessions ensure individual attention, adapting your yoga practice as your body changes and blossoms through this unique journey, at a time and venue that suits you.

In addition to holding a Level 4 Diploma in teaching yoga from the British Wheel of Yoga (BWYQ), Michele has completed the British Wheel of Yoga Pregnancy Yoga Module with Judy Cameron, and is undertaking further study with Birthlight under Francoise Barbira Freedman.

Useful Information

  • All pregnancy yoga students must fill out a health information questionnaire prior to joining the class. This information will be kept in strict confidence. It will help me to adjust your practice according to your needs.
  • You can begin pregnancy yoga at any stage in your pregnancy. You may choose to wait until around 15 weeks (particularly those new to yoga), when pregnancy is considered to be established and the worst of tiredness/sickness has passed.  There is no evidence to suggest that Yoga or exercise causes women to miscarry*.
  • With pregnancy, the way you feel will change from day to day, week to week. Please listen to your body and let me know if there are any changes which can help me modify your practice to suit you.
  • I provide mats and yoga props (including blankets and eye bags for relaxation). However, you can use your own if you prefer. You will also need an exercise ball at some point.
  • This is time for you to feel nurtured and comforted. Always practice at your own pace, and be sure to come to a resting position at any time during the session should you feel you need to.
